“Spendable today”

Once a budget plan is active, the Home screen shows “spendable today” — your remaining budget divided evenly across the remaining days. If you’d rather use your own fixed daily target instead, set one from Settings → “Household management” → “Daily spending goal”. Turning it on switches the Home card to your fixed amount, what’s left today, and a streak counter (the two display modes are mutually exclusive).
